About the pastorDavid Perkins, along with his wife Janet, planted Living Hope Church in Portland, Maine in 2008. He is ordained by the Assemblies of God and has a passion for evangelism and reaching the lost for Christ.
At a young age, David turned to alcohol and drug abuse as a way to cope with the emptiness in his heart. After many years of experiencing the emotional pain and sorrow of failed relationships and business endeavors, he was ready to admit that he was a sinner in need of forgiveness. He gave his life to Christ at a Billy Graham crusade in Portland in 1982. His life has been forever changed. He is now able to share the love and hope of Christ to the downcast, addicted and anyone who desperately needs to hear the Good News! David and Janet reside in Saco with their 3 sons: Dannel, Ben and James and daughter Jess. Additionally, they have two beautiful daughters-in-law, Anna & Deana. |

Our church building is a former bar/restaurant that is now being used to welcome people from all walks of life. Upon visiting, you will find that our doors are open equally to the homeless, the prostitute, the addicted, the business man and the middle class family. Our worship style is contemporary and we preach God's truth from the Bible.
